Courage Of A King

I am a deep  sweltering sea of emotion

Too tumultuous  for most to drink or even think of keeping

My reckless devotion overwhelms the average heart of man

Not many could even begin to come close or comprehend

The intensity of the riches of my hunger for the longing at hand

Weary of walking across a land of heartbreaking action

But still believe in a piece that fits the soul of me

Many come and end up leaving quickly

It’s hard to find a heart of flesh that encompasses the courage of a King

To The One Who Is Worthy (Valentines)

To the one who is worthy,

I built my wall so high and thick preserving the heart that is so gentle within

Too many have come before you, destroying  this sacred temple with no regard

I, unintentionally giving the purity of refined gold to deceptive suitors who only serve their selfish ambition

Cutting any piece of flesh to make themself a protective coat

Taking from my hands to collect the wealth of a lover with no return

Only building up their fortress to pursue jezebel’s whom will only claw at their back and leave them empty

Only the one who is worthy will endure these forsaken walls and burn them down

Only he will receive the innermost sanctuary of me that has been locked away for my own safe keeping

Alabaster Box

Alabaster Box

I have been preserved within the walls of a sacred temple
Centuries of aged perfume in the confines of worshipful sentiment
Refined by the fires of many priesthood’s to bring you the truest of rubies
Laid open at your feet as a servant in saintly humility
Broken before you in an aroma of heavenly oils that wash over every scar
An unending love letter of healing redemption
Blanketing your tenderness for all time

Lying Here

Lying here, wearing your shirt
As the stars serenade your name
I breathe in and the universe bows in array

Too many reflections of my face within yours to deny the retrograde
Of our planets aligning for a destiny of reunion

Defined elements smolder under heated waves of vicarious desire
As star crossed lovers fall into the captivity of one another’s armed abyss

For You Are

Day dreaming of an open road that leads to you
You are a landscape of mystical fields serenading me in a whimsical tune
I embark upon mysterious waters floating me into the deep blue hue of your eyes
I find my home twined and stitched deep within your steadfast arms
When I am wrapped in the chambers of you, I am hidden from the malice and bitter hands of a twisted  world
In your presence I hear songs of perfection
Stirring every cell to an emergent awakening
The magic of your touch colours my white washed body with brush strokes of amor
I press my pilgrims palm into the delicacy of your chest to feel every beat of your heart
For you are a home and place of belonging
For you are the refuge of a church set upon a lonely hill
For you are an illuminating constellation in the darkened night sky
For you are a piece of Heaven’s divine key
A god laid before my feet
A treasure to hold, to take and to keep

The Shadows Of Yesterday

Living in the shadows of yesterday as I picture you standing there
The moment our eyes met and the world fell into a slow motion screenplay

My black and white existence brightened with shades of red
As your smile awakened my dulled beating  heart

In the realm of fast racing time lapses you slow my body into an old fashioned lull
Your embrace is as tender as the cheek of newborn flesh

Your sultry chattering tongue releases endorphins of spiritual enlightenment
Lifting my heart to heights of psychedelic elation

Staring into your beckoning eyes
Opens the depths of seas unreached

A parallel universe of layered emotion
Igniting a life where only two exist, a place for only you and I

A Greater Distance

A greater distance grows as the earth slows to a puzzled pause
As the ground beneath me falls due to the weight of your walls
I grow ever more confused and broken
For what have I done to deserve rejections only token
I have only poured out love upon your head
In a humble gesture to wake your heart from the dead
Instead of a gifted kiss you have gutted my insides of a lover’s hopeful bliss
