You In A Song

Falling in love with a song is safe
It always sings and plays
Temperate lulls that pull emotion to the ocean floor
Soothes a mind full of winding thought
Presses peace into the temporal lobe when the world eradicates in excess explode
Harmonious hues paint over yesterday's delays
Brings about memories the heart can't ignore
Stored in a warehouse of tiny words drifting above head, lyrically drowning out silence to a melodic beauty of thought
Phrases that outline you
A rhythm that plays a movie picture in my head of your lips pressed to mine, fingers interlocked, eyes entwined
You in a song, the moment is mine forever and ever
Every time I push play and drift away

Hourglass

Hourglass

I pushed you down deep in my soul
I thought you knew, for you were born of wonder
You who crave the chaos of lightning and thunder
Put these devilish fears of mine to rest
Too many a day, too many a test
I'm exhausted of bleak vagueness
A dream caught up in black mystery-a magnificent beauty
It allures and haunts, with lullaby's taunts
All for a glance, a touch, a warm kiss
All details wrapped up in more want
The mass clock running my mind won't unwind, it's shook up, it has now lost time
Remind me why i am here
God of this vast world in which I explore
Am I just a chess piece you move with ease
My heart is stitched with passion, I can not love in the shallows
My deepest desire is the aim to please
Pressed words into a barren letter lay every unanswered prayer and question
Stirring up release in a free hand
Slip through my fingers and become one with the sand
For this place I stand
Is my life of belonging
For now, in an hourglass, being poured out in upside down gravity of  motion

Whimsical Play

Whimsical Play~

I like it here in my head
There's never a storm
Nor a poet dead
Instead, A Craft of whimsical play
No oppositional delay
Sugared tulips red of sweet spilling
To my desire, love that is kneeling
At my door once more
Opened in aged envelope
A heart gifted, hands praying palm to dance on the ceiling...
Someone willing to be wild
A soul much like mine ~k

Protection

'When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back...' -Exodus 33:22-23
Often times, when it gets dark in life, he will hide you in the cleft of a rock, cover you and  protect you even though it seems that you don't see him or feel him at the moment,  he will give you enough proof in his existence. Even if all you see is his backside, he's in the details, always surrounding you when you may not notice. He's omnipresent and oh, how he loves you. Give God the benefit of the doubt in the darkest times of life.

Art. The Hidden Part.

Each artist battles the recklessness in his own soul. What is produced is a small fraction, a piece of his woes painted in a masterpiece of what was once broken hollow that became a work of beauty to show.~k #quote #theartist

Let your walls down.

It is easy to make assumptions about one another,  a fool passes judgement, but the truth is that you will never know someone if you don't ask. Everyone has a story & is entitled to share it before a stranger creates a book of fiction with their name on it. If we look at people with love, judgment bears no power & we can become a people of freedom. Let your walls down. ~k #quote

Fade, fade away...

Flowers bloom
Colors of masquerade
The love ignited fast to
Only blow away

You are lawless
No love song playlist
You stepped over a heart of gold
But you're gonna miss this

You played, you dissed
You appear shallow
Silence turns in abyss
Hardened distance

You touched me once
Turned your cold palm in a dismissed way
Stiffened your face as if you don't know my name
You are fading fast
...fade, fade away
