Beauty born of death,
So it is said.
Has the pain purged my soul,
Or has it grown morose instead?
Need to change or rearrange,
Sever or detach.
Seeking joy amongst the lows,
Need an awakening to catch.
Scarlet colored ravens hover,
Round my head.
Soot fills my shoes with heaviness,
An illusion births a dark night of dread.
I search for the lighthouse of heaven's door,
Turn on your gaze.
Fighting to break against the current,
Arms of grace, hold me on a lifting raise.

Savior
You are my escape when the pandemonium of life closes in
You lift every harsh word that has ever wilted my soul
You have bestowed the delicacy of a humble king
You have adorned my head with a crown of graceful kisses
You have nourished my reckoned sight back to health
You have carried me on an everlasting wing
You have covered the grief with healing oil
You have given me the sky on an unending flight
You have engraved promises on the tablets of my heart
You are the beginning and the end of me

From Such Great Heights
From such greats heights
Free falling from the cloud where you left me
Fumbling towards fantasy
My hands still reaching
Chasing that one floating feather that won't allow my grasp to cradle
My letters have been left unanswered
They are lost at sea
My dreams hover above the horizon
Wings heavy but pushing against gravity
Where does this endless flight take me
Fighting for what I do not see
So much to lose but still I choose
Perched upon the shoulder of a stoic statue
Eyes pierce through every sunrise just to witness your return
I could waste these tears for many years to never see your face again
The aroma of the life of this love lingers
Just enough to hold me here
Enough to keep me at bay on your open shore
All the longing and agony would be worth it just to hold you once more
Free falling from the cloud where you left me
Fumbling towards fantasy
My hands still reaching
Chasing that one floating feather that won't allow my grasp to cradle
My letters have been left unanswered

My dreams hover above the horizon

Dwelling Place
May the noise drown out the sound of my own beating heart
Cut out the delicate part
Why the end before the start?
Your subtle smile was the reckoning tool
Fell so far, hit hard like a fool
Your soft heart beckoned me, it was the strongest wave to pull
You gave me more to live for, more than you'll ever know
If I could only seek you out, my naked soul would show
My words would embrace you in a spiritual flow
This distance is death, my hands shake in a reckless pace
Your name does burn in my dwelling place
The fire is bright, it illuminates my face

::You are the key::
::You are the key::
I made a habit of you
Now your absence leaves an unforgettable scar
This love went too deep, too far
Swept away by the waters emerged in your soul
Your grasp was not tight enough to keep me whole
Helplessly lost, I can not get back
I've lost the path, my mind shuffles, memories stack
I have no defense against you, lover
You held me up high like no other
Where to go now, who to be
I need some other identity
For I am lost without you
You are the key

Divine Light
The ground beneath is where I sink
Into a day dream of you
Rain on my lashes, I blink
Fall onto my cheek in a line or two
Arms opened in adolescent anxiety
Wanting and waning in extraordinary dance
Reaching over the noise on a hidden chance to hear your voice
I'd talk to you if only I could speak
My lips are heavy under unprecedented desire
Time decides the holy hour
When my hand touches the fibers of your flesh
Drunken mind of love soaked memory
Lilac wine lifted a thought to define
Heartbeats sailing on winds at sea
Eternity falling to the ocean floor
An anthem spread out over an open sky
Discovery of a pure whisper In my ear
Locked up tight in my chest
Never to let go of your Divine Light

In Another Time
Don't let all the colors fade away
Don't let the silence in the sky keep you feeling dismay
When fear comes crashing through the clouds
My voice you will hear praising you loud
You should know how heavy your presence weighs
My heart bursts and knees buckle under the clock's delays
You are a mountainous wave in which I am under
Stirred up in the curiosity of wonder
Ocean blue waters flow in your veins
The hours I stare into your sea green eyes, I want to heal your pains
I carry your tarnished heart
Meet you on the broken road that keeps us apart
Dream of a life where the days are brighter
And the melody of the music plays lighter
Where the sandy shores always reflect the glow of peace
The sunsets paint the earth in a radiant release
A place to walk and hold your hand
In another time, in some distant land
