Fate of 500 miles

I don't feel right in my skin
Chilled Melon on my lips
Dazed and staring out in a  cool drift
Caught in the distant sunrise
Birds fly, rockets through the clouds and then dive
Lightning smile through a full sky of a star brigade
Heart lost in the questions of an endless night
I will always hold you but I will learn to let you go
The water makes its way round my head
Floating on the pieces of the past that keep you close
Homesick for the sound of your voice
Alone, without love to keep me safe
May the angels carry away the brokenness on their gentle wings
Resignation stills the compass of discovery
The Clockmaker stops time, He takes the story a tide away
Leaving the pain to ponder an honor of hope
Restless hands hold the daisies of daydreams
Plucking petal by petal to find where it may land
Harboring a sea of amorous thoughts
Falling into a fate of 500 miles
