A Beautiful Burden

Your silence has been settled on the lips of a mounted moon
The dusk breaks to dawn as the stars dim to lume
Walking the desert floor as it fails to ail such aid
As my feet drag the dust of a lover's masquerade
A beautiful burden to bear on my back of softened sap
As I look to the heavens to seek the answer, on the door of the wise I tap
He has used my arms for a rare moment of rest
His words have nestled deep in the heart of my chest
All that I have gained is the void of his love
So I send my travesty away on the wings of a dove

A Bullet And A Target

Be fast, be quick
As you blow out the light from the wick
For if you know a love to come so quick
It will crate a depth of layers so thick
The dose will ail you like an evil trick

Be on guard, tight grip
Watching as embers float above-head trip
A fire delved in drink, deadly to sip
Sending your gut into a reckless flip

Breathe solitude, be swift
Steadiness will slip, your control will drift
Into a confusion of hypnotized lift
The beautiful terror of love's gift

Be smooth, without theft
In safe chambers I once slept
Until this day my heart has not been kept
You hit me, a bullet and a target, my soul has wept

aDoRnEd

I observe you
Breathe You in
Let you rest upon my skin

As I once knew
Your song like my kin
I call out to hear your heart beat again

Like a puzzle
Moving eight to fit ten
An intriguing mystery to replay and re-pin

Long stemmed poses
Of peddled feather's rim
An outline of angels adorned in a rue of sin

Heavenly Theft

Pieces of you melted into pieces of me
As if we had known each other a life time
Two human beings brought together by the crashing swells of sea

Two sheets of skin bleeding into one flesh
Like scarlet fever running through our veins
A diseased love infecting the chambers of chest

Leveling the cost in a game of chess
Each piece moving further from the other
Waking fear in the arms of gravity's Confucius mess

A haunting love too intense to be kept
Like bottling stars in a mason jar
To hold it would be a heavenly theft
