I observe you
Breathe You in
Let you rest upon my skin

As I once knew
Your song like my kin
I call out to hear your heart beat again

Like a puzzle
Moving eight to fit ten
An intriguing mystery to replay and re-pin

Long stemmed poses
Of peddled feather's rim
An outline of angels adorned in a rue of sin

Heavenly Theft

Pieces of you melted into pieces of me
As if we had known each other a life time
Two human beings brought together by the crashing swells of sea

Two sheets of skin bleeding into one flesh
Like scarlet fever running through our veins
A diseased love infecting the chambers of chest

Leveling the cost in a game of chess
Each piece moving further from the other
Waking fear in the arms of gravity's Confucius mess

A haunting love too intense to be kept
Like bottling stars in a mason jar
To hold it would be a heavenly theft

Ash

Smoky rain in the landscape of love
Confusion plucking the feathers of a lonely dove
Clashing of the Ash filtering into layers of the horizon above

Feeling the fated fight for the will to let go
The brutality of pruning barren limbs to produce and grow
Stomping death under feet in a shallow tomb below

Rebuild this fragile frame with soft mitt hands
Wrap me up in the chamber of only heavenly lands
Place me atop the starry map of  perfect plans

Straighten these shaky legs and correct the eyes of fools
Taking failure down to drown in the river bin to healing pools
Release the relentless ties of  condemning rules

The Moon That Bled Until It Was Dark

The ocean suddenly became empty
The day you ran off with my heart
Your mouth uttered charmed promises that were broken from the start

The moon bled until it was dark
Mourning the shining love it once embarked
The tenderness of my hopeful eyes
Would cry until the embodiment of turmoil drained every spark

I don't want to hear your voice of lies
So many walls have been built to hold agonizing sighs
The titanic of selfish ambitions into crashing highs
To lows that brought my feet to the soil where feelings morose & die

Grape Flavored Gum

You are like grape flavored gum
You came on strong
Poignant in vibrant perfection
When you hit my tongue
Combustions of full bodied feelings
Rested in the back of my throat
Your words fed my hunger
Your sugary sweetness held me like a coat
Your eyes kept me waiting
While your kisses sent me afloat
HEROIC KEY

Subtly suited in a gentle posture of rare eminence

The prestige of a god wounded by a tumultuous reckoning

Clothed in the pride of a family heritage that birthed perfection

Broken over the hardened fist of a father's fury

Sifting in the grief of a lost dream under the heated irony

Falling from the love of youthful lips
To the cruelty of a lover's lying kiss

The journey of hardship and barrenness could not put him under

For he stood upright in victory,  triumphant over death, holding high the heroic key

Sorrow & Glory

I exhale, giving you forever
Yet you have never penned a word to keep
Adolescent child that chokes on gullibility
Swallowing the wine of sincerity

Stepping into the sanctuary with eyes closed
Falling from the height of Heaven's hold
Pulling up against the stairwell wall
The barren life of unending circles

I don't know how to tell you I love you
The pandemonium of sorrow and glory
Smudged ink stains of a home grown story
Proses of a daunting end
