Wishes On Feathers Fly

Wings wrapped in telephone wire
Persistent perseverance to a smothered fire

Not enough light let in
Causes distant paled skin

Rearrange thoughts for weeks
Sing sweet songs to ease agonizing shrieks

Quench thirst in sugared tears
Write down memories to feed the years

Slow dancing in snow drifts
The half life pulls for life's full kiss

Peacefully falling to the arms of chivalry
Chained words to a tree in living imagery

Steady hands, stilled breathing
Sacred sundown, render the love in which I'm reaching

In the endless ocean, in the raging sea
Your eyes see right through me

Run from the cold winds of fear
May wishes on feathers fly till you find me here
