My gypsy soul wants to float away on the neck of a feather
To descend upon a wave far from the ocean shore
Yet my feet stay ever consistent with the conviction of responsibility
Weighted by the floors of foundational commitment
Ever resisting the urge to bend and break away
Holding on to the ropes of solidity within my raging soul
Fighting the desire for freedom beyond the wall
As I lock the gate to keep my wandering mind to stay
